Well you all have probably been on Heidi and Matt's blog, to find out that they are leaving. Last weekend was our last for a long while. We will see Matt in September but Heidi is indefinite. On Saturday when they came we cherished it. In the morning the medical girls did clinic and finished early. Right after our lunch we gave Heidi her going away presents. Friday Morning we went to the market in Cruz Chich. We went to show John and Alexander (they are good friends that came down for a week) the market and for Heidi's presents. We bought her a Corte, Whipil, and a Panuelo. The whole Traje. Oh and Corte is their HOT 5 time wrap around skirt,Whipil is their Mayan Indian shirt and Panuelo is a thing they wrap around their head. So we did that and after lunch Katie finished the scarf she made for Heidi out of Guatemalan yarn. The yarn is just a little thinner. I painted Heidi a flower painting then I put it in a frame Dad made. Notice we only gave Heidi gifts. Well Matt doesn't care and after marriage 2 shall become 1 right? So she opened her presents and then we went to play volley ball! It was fun... as usual. When we came back we ate dinner and then Craig did worship, and we all prayed for them. The next morning they left after clinic in San Andres. They are still in Quiche but Matt leaves Friday and Heidi Sunday. We are sad. We are going to miss looking forward to them coming every Saturday morning. When we prayed we prayed that Guatemala would forever be imprinted in there hearts, that they would always remember sacrificing there favorite band or Heidi's job. That they would never be able to forget what God has done around them and through them. So many people come down that we always miss... they are now in that list.We will always look forward to seeing them again.

We love you guys, too, Rachel! We miss you already... but we will definitely see each other again soon. Keep up the blogging so we can keep up with you-- and so that all of the Ficker fans who read OUR blog don't gripe to us about not knowing what y'all are up to anymore!! ;-) Love, heidi.
Hi Rachel! It's Beth Gullone the resident that stayed with Heidi and Matt back in February and went to Zona Reina with you guys as well. I've kept up on Guatemala by reading their blog and yours too. Sounds like things are going well. I loved the sunset pictures. I'm also a sucker for those. Glad to hear that Martina has found a home. Take care.
