This morning we woke up to fire crackers! It's Craig's Birthday! Mom and Dad put the firecrackers right outside of his window. Then right after the firecrackers Mom put the really fun song "Birthday" from the Beatles on. It was hilarious! Hannah and I woke up to the fireworks and then the music and we both busted out laughing. So then we were all up and laughing. It was the first time we had done that. They do that here on birthdays. So that was our gift to him since we had no presents! We ate then we (not the boys of course) all went to San Andres. I helped the girls in the orphanage and we hung out. While I was helping them, Mom, Hannah, Adrienne (a good friend of ours), Stacey (a friend of Adrienne's),Craig and Katie saw 70 patients. So we had a pretty good day. Adrienne Stacey and Darrell (Darrell is Stacey's husband) came 2 weeks ago. They will be leaving tomorrow so that’s not good. Hannah and Craig leave to the states again on the 21st so that’s not so good either! But then a team of 13 will come on the 19th so that will be good. We will be pretty busy, in a good way.
We just had a San Pedro trip too. Mom, Dad, Katie, Adrienne, Craig, Hannah and a friend of Katie’s, Sarah, all went on Thursday morning at around 7 AM. They saw about 200 patients. In the middle of their morning Dad landed here to get more fuel. So he switched Adrienne with Stacey and took a really sick little baby to a hospital. The little baby had pneumonia. Dad dropped them off and went back to San Pedro. When they finished Dad brought Mom, Katie, and Sarah home. Then he went back and left to come here but it was really cloudy and rainy. He was over us but couldn’t break through the clouds. So they went back to San Pedro safely and spent the night. The people were really nice. Three different families brought them food, they had tortillas Raman noodles and hot milk :). The next morning they came back. Here are some pictures from San Pedro.

Thanks for the update. I was missing you all.
we sure miss you guys...
of course, we're pretty glad we didn't get left overnight in the jungle, but the rest of all stuff sounds pretty fun!
i'll see you in a few more weeks...
hey rachel... you are so cool. i love hearing about your life down there. sounds pretty crazy, but i bet you have a lot of fun... especially with katie... she sounds pretty cool too. haha. well, gotta go, but wanted to say hi, good blog and keep up the good work. i expect another blog soon. love you!
Wow... Really you got stuck in the jungle? That must hae been so scary. I heard that there are anacondas in the jungles of Guatemala and that the people all live in tree houses and sleep in hammocks strung between two branches. Is that true? Did you have to eat worms? You guys must be really brave to keep living down there. Good luck! See you later, Tad Pole.
